A newly organised file structure for our client

At NRG-Fuels, their mission is to transform plastic waste into valuable resources, helping the UK meet its ambitious climate targets. They harness cutting-edge pyrolysis technology to recycle plastics into sustainable fuels like naphtha and Plastic Pyrolysis Oil (PPO), actively reducing the need for virgin fossil-based products.

What was the challenge?

Our client was looking for a streamlined way of storing their shared data in a way that was secure, cloud-based to take advantage of backups and peace of mind, and easily manageable across all staff, whether they be office or remote-based.

What did we do to fix?

Using SharePoint, Microsoft’s secure, enterprise-grade content management and collaboration platform, Q2Q worked with the management at NRG to design the file structure and permissions tree, to allow all staff to access what they need and what was relevant to them, while maintaining security on restricted content.

The site is now in full testing by the client, and Q2Q will continue to work with the team there to tweak and improve as they go along.

What effect did it have for the client?

The client is now using a world-class platform, using resources that they were already entitled to as part of their Microsoft 365 licensing. They are now able to drop their expensive Dropbox subscription, and their data is all under one roof, and integrated with their office applications and OneDrive synchronisation. Going forward, they will be able to harness the power of Microsoft’s AI offering – Copilot – to interrogate data and look for patterns, all with the slick integration of the Microsoft umbrella.

Fun Fact: Did you know SharePoint has a market share of over 80% among the fortune 500 companies? That’s because it’s not just about managing documents — it’s about creating an integrated workplace.

If you would like more information about how SharePoint could work for your business, give us a call, we would be happy to advise and assist.
